Washington Election Endorsements

Here is how The Prophet sees it:

U.S. Senator : Patty Murray - (Dino Rossi won't bring home the bacon for the common folks)

U.S. Representative 7th District:  Bob Jeffers-Schroder - Jim McDermott is too liberal and Bob Jeffers-Schroder is a male Independent with a hyphenated name, grow a pair Bob!  But Bob J-S has a great idea when it comes too global warming/carbon.  Cap and Trade is a fraud, trust me, I have an Environmental Law degree.  So, instead, we tax all carbon and give all that  money to the citizens in the form of a dividend.

U.S. Representative 8th District: Dave Reichert - Reichert is an independent Republican who can be counted on to avoid the goose/lock-stepping voting patterns of the extreme right GOP leaders.  Suzan DelBenne is just this election's Darcy Burner, though not as hot.  DelBenne is a Pelosi clone liberal from Microsoft who doesn't have a real strategy.  She can be counted on to vote in lock-step with the extreme left.

U.S. Representative 2nd District:  Rick Larsen

INITIATIVE 1053: YES - 2/3RD VOTE NEED IN FAVOR FOR TAX INCREASE FROM LEGISLATURE TO PASS

INITIATIVE 1082: NO  - NOTHING IS WRONG WITH WORKERS COMPENSATION IN THIS STATE. THE ONLY ‘PROBLEM’ IS THAT OUT-OF-STATERS SEE OUR MONEY AND WANT A PIECE OF IT. KEEP IT IN HOUSE. IT’S NOT BROKEN, SO DO’TN FIX IT

INITIATIVE 1098: NO - SAY NO THE AN INCOME TAX IN WASHINGTON. GRANTED IT IS ONLY FOR ‘WEALTHY’ INDIVIDUALS NOW, BUT THE PROPHET GUARANTEES THAT IN TWO YEARS THE CEILING WILL DROP AND SOON EVERY CITIZEN WILL BE PAYING AN INCOME TAX, THIS IS THEIR ‘TROJAN HORSE’ TO SNEAK IT IN. ONCE IN, WE’LL NEVER GET RID OF IT.

INITIATIVE 1100: NO- THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE STATE LIQUOR SYSTEM. SOME SAY THAT IT’S FROM THE PROHIBITION ERA (LOSER ARGUMENT), WELL THE CONSTITUTION IS FROM THE CONSTITUTION ERA AND NOBODY WANTS TO END THAT! IT ALL COMES DOWN TO MONEY AND THE BIG BUSINESSES CAN’T STAND TO SEE THE STATE MAKE LEGITIMATE PROFIT OVER A KNOW TOXIN. The ‘yes’ CAMP SEES THOUSANDS OF NEW JOBS. HORSE-SHIT, THOSE MAYBE 500 NEW JOBS ARE ALL MINIMUM WAGE, NON-UNION, NO-INSURANCE JOBS IN MINI-MARTS, GAS STATIONS AND 7-ELEVENS. COMMON SENSE SAYS THAT WHEN YOU EXPAND LIQUOR STORES FROM 315 TO 5540 AND TIME OF SALES FROM 10AM-7PM TO 6AM-2AM, THERE WILL BE MORE PROBLEMS I.E. FIGHTS, DUI, FATAL CRASHES, CAR BURGLARY, DEATH, DISMEMBERMENT, ALL THE WORST PARTS OF THE BIBLE.

INITIATIVE 1105: NO - (SEE ABOVE ARGUMENTS) PLUS THIS ONE JUST TAKES THE STATES MONOPOLY AND SPLITS IT UP BETWEEN 3 DOMINANT DISTRIBUTORS WHO COLLUDE TO PRICE FIX SO ALL 3 MAKE HEALTHY PROFITS.

INITIATIVE 1107: YES - END THE RIDICULOUS TAX ON BOTTLED WATER, SODA, CANDY AND CERTAIN FOOD PROCESSORS. ONCE AGAIN, GOVERNMENT SEES MONEY OUT THERE AND THEY JUST HAVE TO GET THEIR HANDS ON IT. TELL THEM TO POUND SAND! A ‘YES’ VOTE ENDS THESE TAXES.

REFERENDUM BILL 52: YES - A NO-BRAINER TO MAKE SCHOOLS MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT

AMENDMENT TO STATE CONSTITUTION SJR 8225: NO - WALL STREET PLAYS GAMES WITH YOUR MONEY, DON’T LET THE STATE ALSO. THE STATE JUST WANTS TO REWRITE ACCOUNTING RULES. THAT’S LIKE HAVING THEM SAY 2+2=3

AMENDMENT TO STATE CONSTITUTION ESHJR 4220: YES- THE STATE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO DENY BAIL (THEY WON’T ALWAYS) TO INDIVIDUALS CHARGED WITH A HEINOUS OFFENSE THAT IS PUNISHABLE BY THE POSSIBILITY OF LIFE IN PRISON.

KING COUNTY WEST ELECTORAL DISTRICT JUDGE POSITION 2: BARBARA LINDE - JUDGE LINDE IS REASONABLE AND FAIR. SHE IS A JUDGE WHO CARES ABOUT PEOPLE, NOT JUST CRIMES AND SENTENCES, SHE’LL LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE. SHE WAS NOMINATED BY HER PEERS TO BE THE CHIEF PRESIDING JUDGE, A JOB SHE CURRENTLY HOLDS.

ALL OTHER JUSTICE OR JUDGE POSITIONS: NO ENDORSEMENT

SEATTLE SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSITION 1 NO - THEY CLAIM THAT MORE OF YOUR PROPERTYSUPPLEMENTAL OPERATIONS LEVY:

Liquor Initiatives mean Higher Taxes

Don't "fix" what isn't broken.

It's all about the money.  Both 1100 and 1105 take money away from Washington State.  Big business sees the profit to be gained and that is all.  If the initiatives pass (either one), the state will close its 350 liquor stores.  But then 3,300 stores will be able to sell hard liquor.  According to a January study by State Auditor Brian Sonntag, privatization could create as many as 3,300 retail outlets selling spirits statewide. That’s 10 times the current number of state liquor stores, and roughly equal to the number of state Starbucks and McDonald’s outlets combined.  This probably means lower prices per bottle but what will the state do to recoup it's lost revenue?  RAISE TAXES ACROSS THE BOARD FOR EVERYONE, that's what.  It is disingenuous to say the state will only raise the alcohol tax.  They are the highest in the nation already.  Their solution will be to raise taxes on all citizens, not just the booze drinkers.

These “people’s initiatives” happen to be the brainchildren of three major corporations that have spent more than $3 million in the hope of reaping millions in booze sales. One, warehouse chain Costco, the world’s ninth-largest retailer, turned its 28 Washington stores into mini–political mercantiles, using employees to solicit customer signatures for I-1100 with come-ons to the effect of “Imagine if you had a case of Jack Daniels to go with that year’s supply of paper towels.”

There is nothing wrong with the liquor control in this state. About 65 percent of respondents to a recent King-5 survey said they trust the state rather than private stores to responsibly sell liquor. Anti-government foes would tell you that the state has no business with it.  For the safety and protection of all its citizens, it has business to regulate it.  Expanded availability will lead to more drunkenness, fights, theft etc.  Hgher social costs and monetary costs await the state's citizens if either initiative is passed.

Seattle 4-Month Bike Town

SDOT Re-Stripe of Nickerson Street

So, I overheard (in a liberal coffee shop) a liberal guy talking about biking in Seattle.  "Seattle is a 4-month bike town"' says he.  RIGHT ON!  What are we going to do when it's 35F and raining?  All crowd into 1 lane on Nickerson Street and stare at each others taillights is what.  Even on the Shame Train (Metro Transit), you'll be sitting.  Nickerson Street used to be the rare East-West road in this town that could get you there quicker.   Not anymore, thanks to Mayor McGinn's "road diet" (stupid name).

Democrats generally support abortion and are against the death penalty.  Republicans generally are anti-abortion and for the death penalty.  Something seems wrong with both stances. Who out there is anti-abortion and anti-death penalty?  Who out there is pro-abortion and pro-death penalty?  That is 4 stances I just offered.  To be featured in my next blog, be the first to guess my stance.  I will post a bit of biography of us (I should know you, who doesn't know me that reads this blog?)!

Get your ideas and stances ready as later this week I give you point on upcoming Initiatives on the ballot in Washington state.

Mayor McGinn refuses to meet with Disabled Voter

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, who is a native of Long Island NY, is refusing to meet with Tim Malloy.  I only asked for 1 hour of his time-any day this year-at any time of day this year!  Let us be clear MAYOR MCGINN REFUSES TO MEET WITH DISABLED VOTER! He must not know that all politics is local. I'm as local as they get! McGinn's office sent me an e-mail, at least Obama had someone call me on the phone when he said no.  Here is the e-mail sent to me:

Dear Tim,

Thank you for your request to meet with the Mayor. Unfortunately, his schedule is extremely busy at this time, so he will have to respectfully decline your offer to meet. If you would like to send along any materials or diagrams about your vision for Seattle, I will make sure that he sees them.

Respectfully,

Allison Burson
Executive Assistant to the Mayor
Office of Mayor Mike McGinn

RESPECTFULLY DECLINE?  He hasn't shown me any respect.  Obama's office even called me.  But the Mayor of Seattle is too busy to meet with a native Seattleite!  He has an assistant e-mail me instead of call.  And who said that they could communicate with me by e-mail?  I mailed (USPS) him a letter and asked for him to call.  He's just too busy alienating the City Council with his "my way or the bike-lane" plan to turn my city into a giant utopia wwhere no one drives, we all do yoga and smoke tons of weed.

Well, you carpetbagger from New York, you got another thing coming!
